Compressible Fluids

A compressible fluid is characterised by its compressibility denoted as  (1 / K) where K is the  bulk modulus of elasticity.

Let                          = initial volume of the gas

= final volume of the gas after compression

change in volume = final volume- initial volume

Gases are compressible fluids.
