Uniform and Non-Uniform Flows

The fluid flow will be termed as uniform if flow parameters like velocity, pressure and density etc., remain constant through out the flow field at any given time.

The fluid flow will be termed as non-uniform if flow parameters like velocity, pressure and density etc., change in the flow field at any given time.

Note: Conventionally, a uniform flow is prescribed only in terms of velocity rather than in terms of all the dependent variables.
